WINS 2015 GOLD PRESIDENT'S AWARD IN THE HOW-TO/SELF-HELP CATEGORY
Elderly Parents With All Their Marbles: A Survival Guide for the Kids by Pamela Carey was among the top award winners as the Florida Authors and Publishers Association (FAPA) presented its prestigious President's Awards on August 8, 2015.
The awards honored the best books published in 2014 and 2015 by authors in Florida and throughout the United States.
Ms. Carey's book captured top honors in the How To/Self-Help Category. The competition brought in 31 judges, including 27 national state librarians and four publishing professionals.
“The 2015 award winners elevate publishing both regionally and nationally. The awards continue to command the attention of industry professionals and readers!” said Mark Wayne Adams, FAPA President.
The event took place at the Hilton Orlando/Lake Buena Vista Resort.
Pam Carey, at far left, joins other members of the Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA) at the 2019 Scituate Arts Festival on October 12. Members sold and signed their books for Festival patrons.
